Guess who I am named after? 

I’ll give you a hint; she has one of the most famous faces in the world…Cynthia Ann Crawford. 

Cindy Crawford was born in the small town of DeKalb, Illinois in 1966. She started her modeling career at age 15. 

At 17, she was one of the finalists at the Elite Model Management’s Look of the year competition. 

Cindy Crawford graduated first in her high school class and received a scholarship to study chemical engineering at Northwestern University.

While in Chicago, she decided to take a chance as a part-time model.  It was a success, when she was 20 she had already appeared on her first cover of Vogue Magazine.

In the 80’s, Cindy Crawford was one of the first major “supermodels,” appearing in over 400 magazine covers. 

Cindy Crawford has been responsible for helping launch new products by famous brands such as Pepsi, Revlon, Clairol and Omega. 

Cindy Crawford even hosted her own television show on MTV called “House of Style”.  

With the help of her personal trainer, she produced two workout videos titled Shape Your Body and The Next Challenge. 

Today, Cindy Crawford helps breast and ovarian cancer research and the Leukemia Society of America. 

She is also developing an innovative “age maintenance” skin care line called ‘Meaningful Beauty.’
